Blue Heron Counseling and Assessment is a solo practice that I founded to allow me to practice therapy and psychological testing. I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and private pay through the Alma platform.

I am Dr. Alison Aschenbach, PsyD, LP, LCP, APIT (she/they). I am a psychologist who has lived throughout the Midwest. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, lived in Chicago, IL, Madison, WI, and Saint Paul/Minneapolis, MN. I love to joke about being a Big10 girl, since I have lived in cities with so many of the schools in that league.

I love my family, my pets, and my friends. In my free time, I can be found hiking, spoiling my pets, and traveling, or just spending time with family in front of the TV or playing a tabletop game.
